Geotherm assists/works with local ready-mix concrete suppliers to develop low strength Fluidized Thermal Backfill - FTBTM

high strength duct-bank concrete, and thermal grouts (cement based hardening type and bentonite non-hardening type. These materials are commonly used to encase and cover underground power cables and/or PVC/HDPE conduits that contain transmission or distribution cables. In comparison with native soil, these materials exhibit superior thermal and mechanical performance and allow higher rating (Ampacity).

We have extensive experience in the design of these materials to satisfy specific project requirements. Compressive strength, slump, flow and most importantly the thermal characteristics are of prime interest.
