Off-Shore Wind
Navigating the future of offshore wind energy.
Offshore wind energy is emerging as a significant and expanding source of renewable energy.
This sector has witnessed remarkable technological advancements, enabling wind farms to become an economically viable and environmentally friendly means of generating electricity. This process harnesses the wind power to produce electrical energy that is integrated in the existing power corridors. Geotherm has been at the forefront of this alternate energy sector by performing cable route thermal surveys for the off-shore, landing sites, and for the on-shore cable routes leading up to the utility interconnect.
We have undertaken numerous submarine power cable route thermal surveys in Canada, USA, South America, Middle East and Far East. Some of these were of record lengths in excess of 400 miles, depths in excess of 500 ft and of voltages up to 500 VDC.
